Why is oil paint your medium of choice?
Most of all, I like it because it is forgiving! It allows you to change your mind after laying down colour. Because it dries slowly, a work can be altered and evolve. The texture and shine when it is dry has a richness and warmth.

Oil is my first love, being the first medium I've used when starting painting. And it has been my medium of choice for many years. Because it is so very rich and smooth. After I discovered acrylic, I became lazy as with acrylic everything is happening so fast. But still! You know how it is with first loves...
