Most of all, I like it because it is forgiving! It allows you to change your mind after laying down colour. Because it dries slowly, a work can be altered and evolve. The texture and shine when it is dry has a richness and warmth.

I am only a year late in responding to this post 😉
I like it because of its smoothness and flow. I also find it to be very intuitive for myself - I haven't found that connection in other mediums besides charcoal.
